We needed a place to sleep and there wasn't much going on in Alabama. So we stopped for the night at the Cobb Lane Bed and Breakfast. There were 7 different theme rooms. We stayed in the Rose Room. I don't have anything to compare this B&B to since it was my first time ever staying in one but I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The decor was beautiful and the owners were so sweet. They even had a place of fresh baked cookies waiting for us in our room.

On our way to Louisiana we passed The Tiger Truck Stop. This is the home of Tony the tiger. He's lived there for 9 years. There has been allot of controversy over Tony's freedom. Many animal rights activists have fought to have him moved to a big cat sanctuary yet the owners fight for the right to keep this long time pet and member of their family.

On our way to San Antonio Texas we stopped along service road 90 to see what the Snake Farm is all about. We didn't have the time or the extra cash to spend on going in. But you can see their website here.
When we got to San Antonio to see The Alamo we realized it was a Huge Tourist trap so just drove by. That is all we really needed to see. There were small towns ahead with our name on it.

Austin was so fun. I loved this city. We saw honky tonk bars, 2-stepping and fiddle playing. I couldn't help but notice The Frost Bank Tower that looks like an owl and has been described as being characteristically weird. I went to Hill Country and got to swim in Lake Travis (fresh water lake) all day. The vintage shopping is really good. You can pick up a vintage store map at most vintage shops and this is really great guide to all the best places.
