Tigon
What happens when a tiger and a lion mate?
Ligers are the result when a male lion and a female tiger mate. A tigon is the result when a male tiger and female lion mate. Ligers tend to be much larger than lions or tigers. Tigons tend to be smaller then most lions or tigers.

House Cats
I found this article at the dailymail.co.uk about Riana Van Nieuwenhuizen. She has taken in orphaned cheetahs, lions and tigers into her home. The look so cute and cuddly it's hard to imagine them as vicious predators.

Sheena Queen of the Jungle
Sheena, Queen of the Jungle has the ability to communicate with animals after being orphaned in the jungle. She was the the heroine in the first female comic book character to have her own title. In 1956 there was a TV series starring Irish McCalla.
A movie starring Tanya Roberts was released by Columbia pictures in 1984. Shot entirely in Kenya.

Charley Harper
Charley Harper was a artist based in Cincinnati. Most of his art was "nature inspired" which I love. Based on his content he did allot of work with The National Park Service, the Cincinnati Zoo and the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.

Always in Trend
One of my favorite things about animal print is that its timeless. Yes it's "trending" now but this slide show from style.com just proves that no matter what era it is, animals and animal prints have had a presence in fashion. Whether it is from eighties Krizia collections or current Eley Kishimoto it is pretty clear that the animal print will not be extinct anytime soon.
